Down Arrow
Many patients experience anxiety during their dental exams and procedures. These patients can be treated in a safe and comfortable manner employing either intravenous sedation or general anesthesia. Dr. Jahromi will provide safe and convenient anesthesia services in the comfort of your office. IV sedation and/or general anesthesia will provide total relaxation, erase memory of the procedure and allow even the most anxious patients to be treated successfully. As part of your dental team, Dr. Jahromi will conduct a complete review of the patient’s medical history, consulting with your patient’s physician if necessary. She will review all pre-op instructions with your patient, including medications to be taken prior to the procedure. She may even prescribe an oral sedative for extremely anxious patients.

On surgery day, Dr. Jahromi will provide all the necessary equipment to simulate an operating room in your dental office. She uses the most advanced, ultra-compact hospital grade monitors and anesthesia equipment. As a result, patients emerge from the anesthesia promptly and are ready for discharge in less than 30 minutes, feeling comfortable and pain-free. Dr. Jahromi will also follow your patients post operatively to ensure a safe and rapid recovery

Dr. Jahromi can assist your practice by facilitating the treatment of complex cases and completing care for patients with special needs such as:

  • Young Children
  • Individuals with heightened fear and anxiety
  • Sensory Processing Disorder
  • Autism Spectrum Disorder and ADHD
  • Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities
  • Neuromuscular or Movement Disorders
  • Hyperactive gag reflex
  • Difficulty getting numb

There is greater acceptance of treatment plans when sedation or general anesthesia are offered to patients. As a result, your practice can include a larger population of patients who normally would not be able to receive dental treatment in your office.
